Accountability Leveraged Assets Financial Director
Location: Inepd International

Terms: Full-time, Interim contract for 1 year
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000;
depending on experience

Inepd International is a
rights based organisations that believes in both downward and upward
accountability to the poor. We seek to bring poverty development and
equity justice to those who can't help themselves.
Inepd International has been
formed in the last 12 months through the amalgamation of 4 non
governmental organisations that support developmental and humanitarian
programs in 25 countries. By joining hands we are able to mobilise
greater resources and speak with a stronger voice on development and
humanitarian issues.
Inepd International is embarking on its most
ambitious and innovative program development and implementation
methodology to date. This methodological sea-change brings a new and
holistic approach to defeating poverty. It is now our organisation
vision, our strategic direction and now our enhanced poverty
development financial and programming model; and it is called Forward
Accountability. The position of Forward Accountability Leveraged
Assets Financial Director is a critical position to enable Inepd
International to move to a forward accountability financial model in
the next 6 months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ins and Outs
Management
Develop, implement and manage a robust annual and forward leveraged
Ins and Outs process
Develop, implement and manage a robust quarterly forecasting process
to improve the accuracy of forecasting
Advise stakeholders of their hourly spends and
hold ratios and manage hedged and derivatives based liabilities.
2. Management
Reporting
Develop and implement a management reporting process for monthly,
quarterly and annual reporting, including moving line analysis and
narrative
Analyse
ups and downs and work with Ins and Outs holders to resolve issues
without negatively impacting the business
Provide ad hoc financial analysis, as required
3. Time Poor Donor Leveraged Assets Management
Establish strong relationships with directors,
budget holders and key stakeholders in order to better structure the
Time Poor Donor forward leveraged bequest assets.
Provide Management with daily derivatives
based future asset worth predictions and daily spend windows and
projections match to program spend and hold ratio performance.
Provide advice to directors and Ins and Outs
holders on Ins and Outs plans and business planning
Develop strong relationships with the Finance
team
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

A strongly developed customer service ethos
An ability to inspire, influence and
collaborate with stakeholders to seek common ground
Active hearing skills.
Experience of influencing in diverse
organizations with multiple internal stakeholders, and in situations
where the individual does not have direct line authority over many of
those s/he needs to influence.
- Strategic ability
Strong looking at things in different ways and
thinking skills, coupled with the ability to relate detail to the
bigger picture
Comfortable with difficult things, things that are a bit unclear and
change.
An
international mindset
An ability to spot things that may or may not matter and their
impact on the organisation as a whole
A demonstrable track record in developing and
implementing creative solutions with flow diagrams and interlinked
circles.
- Financial management skills
Extensive experience in developing and/or
improving financial management reporting systems in complex
environments
Strong
project and programme management skills.
Strong leveraged assets and derivatives
trading skills
Track
record of developing and/or improving forecasting mechanisms

Tasks and
Responsibilities:
- Tailor the Forward Accountability
Monitoring and Evaluation targets to program country needs
-
Translate the intermediate forward targets into actionable plans and
short-term reforms so as to make the necessary progress towards the
agreed longer-term targets;
- Provide programs with regular
professional guidance and with the technical expertise: on Forward
Accountability reporting methodologies, data collection & report
compiling & format;
- Provide programs with regular professional
guidance and with the technical expertise on the conceptualization and
exit strategies for leverage poverty development asset retreival.
- Together with country teams and the Management work on the design of
Forward Accountability strategies in targets localization & public
policy analysis.
Qualifications:
-
Advanced university degree in social science and/or development
related studies
- At least 2 years working experience in Forward
Accountability Monitoring and Evaluation
- Ability to work
efficiently in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
- Sound
experience in development methodologies, including participatory
approaches, research techniques, strategic planning, strategic
management and the management of institutional change in developing
countries
